Community Attributes: Creating Community and Economic Opportunity
firm OUR STAFF

Confident and successful strategic thinking requires decisions based on rigorous analysis of the best data available. Chris Mefford founded Community Attributes in 2005 to apply demographics, economics and quantitative analysis to land use and strategic planning with this approach in mind.

Chris envisioned a practice that leverages relevant data and analysis to tell the stories of clients and the communities they serve. He sought to go beyond studies and reports to support his clients’ missions in a meaningful way, in implementing their newly developed land use or strategic plans.

Chris Strausz-Clark, who shares Chris M’s passion for improving communities and the lives of individuals, joined Community Attributes in 2009 to grow our philanthropic and nonprofit practices. Chris S-C’s expertise in strategy, impact and evaluation, combined with Community Attributes’s analytic capacity, enhance our ability to provide support to philanthropies and nonprofit organizations worldwide.

Today the firm is a growing boutique consultancy, serving governments, philanthropies, non-profits, and businesses. Our team includes professional staff with expertise and advanced credentials in business and finance, philanthropy, public policy and administration, urban planning, and geography. Community Attributes has a state-of-the-art practice in geographic information systems, which informs all of our work with innovative applications of spatial analysis.

Community Attributes is now a regional leader in applying economic and market analysis to developing and supporting community assets. We are passionate about helping our clients translate data and quantitative analysis into confident strategies and actionable results.
